Residential homes only. SAA-accredited Powerwall 3 installer. 13.5 kWh integrated hybrid system. Federal rebate applied at point of sale where eligible.
Powerwall 3 is Tesla's third-generation home battery with the inverter built in. 13.5 kWh usable capacity, up to 11.04 kW AC continuous output (subject to Tesla specifications and installation requirements), and an integrated solar inverter that takes up to 20 kW of PV — so for a lot of jobs it replaces both your battery and your solar inverter in one box.
If you've got an older string inverter on its last legs and you're adding a battery, Powerwall 3 is often the simplest, neatest solution. One unit, one app, one warranty contact.
This is the question that decides whether Powerwall 3 suits your home. Powerwall 3 is single-phase only. On a single-phase home it is a straightforward fit. On a three-phase home it can still be installed, but it will only back up the phase it is connected to — so whole-home backup across all three phases is not possible with a single unit.
You can check by opening your switchboard: a single main switch feeding the board usually means single-phase, while three main switches ganged together usually means three-phase. We confirm it properly during the site assessment rather than guessing from the outside.
If your home is three-phase and you want backup across the whole house, Sigenergy SigenStor is normally the better technical fit — it is natively three-phase. We recommend based on what the property actually needs, not on brand.
South East Queensland gets a proper storm season, and grid outages come with it. With Powerwall 3 configured for backup, essential circuits — fridge, lights, internet, garage door — keep running through an outage. If your solar is still producing during the day, the battery recharges and can keep going.
Why people pick Powerwall 3:
Where Powerwall 3 isn't the right fit:
Under the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, the strongest rebate rate applies to the first 14 kWh of usable capacity. Powerwall 3 sits just under that line at 13.5 kWh, so the top-tier rate applies across its full capacity.
Eligible installs may receive an upfront federal rebate discount — final value depends on battery size, usable capacity, STC value, install date and eligibility.
If Tesla has a national offer running when we quote, we'll check and apply it — current offers are confirmed at quote time, never assumed.

Yes. Powerwall 3 is AC-coupled to existing solar — it sits alongside your current inverter. If your existing inverter is old or undersized, we can talk about replacing it with the Powerwall 3's built-in inverter (DC-coupled) for better efficiency.
It works, but with limitations. Powerwall 3 is single-phase output — it can backup one phase only, not all three. For most 3-phase Gold Coast homes we recommend Sigenergy SigenStor instead, which is native 3-phase. Sigenergy details →
Yes — Powerwall 3 supports daisy-chaining additional "Expansion" units (no inverter, just battery) for 13.5 kWh more each. Note: the federal rebate is one-per-property, so the second unit doesn't attract another rebate.
Depends what you're powering. Essential circuits only (fridge, lights, a few power points)? Easily 24+ hours. Whole-home with aircon running? Could be 6–10 hours. If your solar's still working in daytime, the battery recharges and runs indefinitely.
No. Powerwall 3 is VPP-capable, which satisfies the rebate eligibility. Whether you ever join one is up to you — there are some decent VPP deals in QLD but you're never forced.
Wall-mounted, suitable for indoor or outdoor installation when installed in accordance with Tesla requirements. Typical spots are the garage wall or external wall near the switchboard. Final location is confirmed during quoting based on clearances, exposure, switchboard/inverter layout and manufacturer requirements.
Send switchboard and inverter photos — we'll review it during business hours and come back with a clear quote covering Powerwall sizing, rebate where eligible, and any site-specific requirements explained upfront.
