⚡ Federal Rebate: Eligible home battery installs may receive the federal rebate as an upfront discount. Rebate values reduce over time. How the rebate works →
Residential homes only. SAA-accredited battery designer and installer. Tesla Powerwall 3 and Sigenergy. Federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate applied at point of sale — you pay the discounted price, we handle the paperwork.
Eligible installs may receive the federal rebate as an upfront discount, applied at point of sale by an SAA-accredited installer. Rebate values are reduced over time as the program winds down toward 2030. Final value depends on usable capacity, STC value, equipment eligibility, install date and current program rules.
Estimates only. Final rebate confirmed in your fixed-price quote based on system size, eligibility and the STC price on the day of install.
How the rebate works →If you've already got solar on your roof, you're our exact customer. Most Northern Gold Coast homes installed solar 5–10 years ago and never added storage. Adding a battery now means you stop exporting power for cents and start using it yourself.
Perfect — you've already done the hard yards. A battery retrofit slots in next to your existing inverter (Sigenergy) or replaces it with a battery-ready hybrid inverter (Powerwall 3). You qualify for the federal rebate.
The federal rebate requires the battery to be paired with solar. We can install solar + battery in one job — both rebates get stacked, single trip, cleaner install. Or we'll just do the battery if you're sorting solar yourself.
We focus on these two because they're the best engineered batteries on the rebate list and we know them properly. No 'whatever's cheapest this week' approach.
Integrated hybrid inverter, slick app, strong resale story. Best fit for single-phase homes that want one box, one brand, no fuss.
Modular stack, native 3-phase, works with mixed-brand solar. The technically better system for most Gold Coast homes if you're not fussed about the badge.
Not sure which fits your home? Send us a photo of your switchboard and existing inverter — we'll tell you straight which one suits and what it'll cost installed.
Quick comparison to help you think about which way might suit. We'll confirm the right pick during your site assessment — no commission-driven recommendations.
Both are excellent batteries. We don't push one over the other for commission reasons — Ben recommends what suits your home, phase, solar and budget.
Before recommending a battery, we look at the whole picture — not just slap on whatever's in stock. The right system depends on what you've already got and what you're trying to achieve.
Solar size in kW, inverter brand and condition, panel layout, and whether the existing system is performing as it should.
Daily kWh from a recent bill, when you use power (daytime vs night), and what's drawing it (aircon, pool, EV, kitchen).
Single-phase or 3-phase supply, switchboard condition, available space, and whether any upgrades are needed before install.
Which circuits you'd want kept running during a blackout — fridge, internet, garage door, lights, full house — and what's practical.
Where the battery will physically sit — garage wall, external wall, floor space — with proper clearances, exposure and access.
What's coming — EV charging, second AC, pool heat pump, expanding family — so we size with some headroom built in.
Backup power isn't always automatic for every circuit in the home. It depends on the battery, your switchboard wiring and what you've asked us to wire up.
Some homes only need essentials backed up — fridge, lights, internet, garage door and a few power points. That's enough to keep food safe, the wi-fi alive and the house liveable during a typical Gold Coast storm outage. Other homes want larger backup coverage, including AC on a key circuit or whole-home backup.
We check your switchboard layout, available battery output and total backup load before confirming what can be backed up safely and how the changeover works. There's no point promising whole-home backup if the wiring or the battery can't support it.
Important: Backup is configured during install, not retrofitted later for free. Tell us during quoting what you want kept running and we'll spec it properly.
After the install is done, we walk you through the basics of how your battery actually works. Not just "here's the app, see ya later".
That includes:
The goal is that you understand how the system works, not just that it's switched on and left behind. If you've got questions a week or a month after install, call us — we don't disappear after the invoice is paid.
Battery install is electrical work first, energy work second. We're already the licensed sparky doing your switchboard, AC and EV charger — adding a battery is the natural fit, and we're SAA-accredited to sign off the federal rebate.
Solar Accreditation Australia — the body that replaced CEC accreditation in Feb 2024. We hold both battery design and battery install endorsements. That's what unlocks the federal rebate at point of sale.
Battery jobs touch your switchboard, your DC isolators, and often your main supply. We're QLD-licensed electricians, not solar resellers subbing the wiring out. The whole job stays with us.
You don't claim anything — we apply the rebate directly to your quote, then deal with the STC paperwork ourselves. You pay the discounted price on the day, end of story.
Based Upper Coomera, residential homes only across the Gold Coast, Logan, South Brisbane and surrounding SEQ areas. When something needs warranty attention or a re-commission, you're calling the same number — not a head office in Sydney.
SAA is the Clean Energy Regulator-appointed accreditation body. Without an SAA-accredited installer signing off, the federal rebate can't be claimed.
The Cheaper Home Batteries Program rules in plain English. If your situation is a 'maybe', send us a photo of your switchboard and we'll tell you straight.
Heads up on the QLD Battery Booster: That state program closed in May 2024 and hasn't been relaunched. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate is the only battery incentive currently available to Gold Coast homeowners.
No hard sell, no door-to-door 'energy consultants'. Straight quote, straight install.
Existing solar inverter brand, switchboard photo, rough idea of usage. Five-minute job.
Battery size, brand, rebate-inclusive price, install timing. Clear fixed-price quote based on the info you share, with any site-specific requirements (switchboard, cable route, Energex approval) explained upfront.
1–2 days on site, tidy install, walk you through the app before we leave.
We submit the STCs, lodge with Energex, and send your compliance certificate. You don't lift a finger.
Well-matched homes may significantly reduce grid imports, but actual savings depend on solar size, battery capacity, household usage, tariff structure, backup requirements and how the system is configured. Payback varies by household — usage patterns, tariff, solar export rate, battery size, rebate eligibility and installation cost all affect the result. We'll talk through realistic expectations for your home during quoting.
Yes — both Tesla Powerwall 3 and Sigenergy can be configured for whole-home or essential-circuits backup. Backup wiring adds a bit of cost depending on what you want to keep running. We'll quote it in or out — your call.
In most cases yes. Powerwall 3 is AC-coupled and works alongside almost any existing solar inverter. Sigenergy can be AC-coupled retrofit or DC-coupled if we're replacing your inverter. Send us a photo of your inverter — we'll tell you which option fits.
No. The battery only has to be VPP-capable to qualify for the rebate. You're never forced to join one. Both Tesla and Sigenergy meet the requirement.
Rebate values reduce over time as the program winds down toward 2030. Battery prices have stabilised — savings from waiting are typically eaten by the smaller rebate. We'll confirm current eligibility and pricing when you ask for a quote.
Most retrofit jobs are 1–2 days on site. From signed quote to switched-on is typically 3–6 weeks depending on stock and Energex paperwork.
We stick with Tesla Powerwall 3 and Sigenergy because we know them properly and they're both well-engineered. We won't quote you a brand we don't believe in just to make a sale.
Send us your existing solar setup details and we'll review it during business hours and come back with a clear quote or next steps — battery brand, sizing, rebate already deducted, install timing, plus any site-specific requirements explained upfront. No call-out fee, no pressure.
Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm
The more detail you send, the more accurate the quote. A switchboard photo + existing inverter photo lets us quote precisely.
