Sizing — Not Just "What Fits the Budget"

Bedroom split systems are not 2.5 kW just because that's what's on special. Properly sized split systems factor in:

• Room size in m² and ceiling height
• Window area and sun aspect
• Insulation and wall type
• Adjacent heat sources (kitchen, north-facing wall, etc.)
• How many people will use the room and how often

Undersizing means the system runs flat-out and never quite catches up. Oversizing means short-cycling, humidity issues, and wasted power. We size to what your room actually needs.

Every home is different, but as a rough guide:

• Small bedroom changeover, 2.5 kW: typically $2,000–$2,800
• Master bedroom or office, 3.5 kW: typically $2,500–$3,500
• Living/dining, 7.2 kW: typically $3,500–$5,500
• Multi-head or new install with electrical: $4,000–$7,000+
