Whole-home ducted reverse cycle from Fujitsu and Daikin. Multi-zone design, properly sized, cleanly installed. Northern Gold Coast residential.
Ducted is the right call when you want consistent comfort across the whole house β not just the room with the split. We design and install whole-home ducted reverse-cycle systems from Fujitsu (we're Authorised Agents) and Daikin, sized properly for your floor plan and zoned to match how you actually use the house.
Most jobs are 4β8 zones depending on house layout. Larger acreage homes typically need 6β10 zones with three-phase supply. We handle the design, the install, the electrical work and the commissioning β all in-house.
Lazy installers grab the brochure-recommended size, drop in a single zone, and call it done. That's why so many ducted systems struggle in the heat or freeze you out in winter.
Proper ducted design means:
Send us a floor plan and we'll come back with a properly designed system, not a brochure quote.
We install Fujitsu and Daikin ducted exclusively. Both are inverter, both are reliable, both have excellent parts availability locally.
For high-end homes we'll spec specific Airstage models with the right efficiency tier and noise rating. For value-driven jobs, the entry-level Fujitsu still outperforms most cheaper brands by a country mile.
Most ducted installs take 1β3 days depending on house size, ceiling access and electrical scope.
You get a certificate of installation, manufacturer warranty registered, and a clean ceiling β no plaster damage, no daggy grilles, no exposed cabling.
Range covers most 4β5 bedroom Gold Coast homes with 4β8 zones, Fujitsu or Daikin systems. Multi-zone acreage homes and larger floor plans sit above this range. Three-phase upgrades, switchboard work, or extensive duct routing add cost. Send a floor plan for an accurate fixed-price quote.
Most 4β5 bedroom homes can run on single-phase ducted up to about 14kW. Larger systems (acreage homes, multi-zone) typically need three-phase. We assess the switchboard on the quote and include any upgrade in the fixed price.
Rule of thumb: separate bedrooms from living, separate master from secondary bedrooms, and keep large rooms with different sun aspects on their own zones. Most 4-bed homes work well with 5β6 zones. Acreage and bigger floor plans need 8β10.
If installed well, you should barely hear it indoors β quieter than a fridge. Outdoor noise depends on the unit and placement. We position outdoor units for both airflow and noise compliance.
Per kWh of cooling, modern ducted is about as efficient as a modern split. The real saving comes from not running it everywhere β zone control means you only cool the rooms you're using. A well-zoned ducted often costs less per month than running 3β4 splits in different rooms.
Indoor unit and ducting typically last 15β20 years. Outdoor unit (compressor) is the part that fails first, usually around 12β15 years. After that, replacing just the outdoor unit is often the cost-effective option.
Often yes β if your indoor unit and ducting are still in good condition and the system uses a refrigerant that's still supported. We assess this on the quote. It's usually 30β50% cheaper than a full system replacement.
